Aging Skin and Organic Skin Care
Organic skin care has a rather healthy ring to it. However, the official definition of organic does not necessarily coincide with what consumers might expect. As a matter of fact, organic simply means that a product is free of artificial ingredients, petroleum-based ingredients or other unsafe ingredients.
Nevertheless, there are several ingredients that we don't deem as natural that are commonly added to natural skin care products. For example, petroleum is considered a natural ingredient added to several natural skin care products, however, I can't think of many people that would knowingly want to put it on their skin. Therefore, a good way of keeping your skin safe from these ingredients is by learning how to spot noxious ingredients in the product labels.
Stay Away From These Ingredients
Anti aging and organic skin care products should be able to help keep your skin looking young and healthy, however, not knowing which ingredients are good or bad can lead you to using products that can actually speed up the aging process and lead to dull skin and wrinkles.
Stay Away from Products Containing Petrochemicals
This group of ingredients is derived from crude oil and can coat your skin making it impossible for your body to eliminate toxins. Because it is difficult to eliminate toxins your body may experience dull skin, allergies, and clogged pores.
Avoid anti aging creams that contain mineral oil, paraffin and petrolatum. This is especially important if you have oily or combination skin.
Avoid Quats (Quaternary Ammonium Compounds)
Quats are used in conditioning products, but be careful because they have also been linked to antibiotic resistance. Stay away from products that contain benzalkonium chloride, cetrimonium chloride and cetrimonium bromide, among others.
Caution: Synthetic Colors
Synthetic colors are often made from coal tar and heavy metal salts. They can quickly lead to eye wrinkles and dull skin because they produce free radicals, which is why you should avoid products that contain FD&C or D&C.
Stay Away from Sulfates
Sulfates are usually found in soaps, detergents and cleansers. If you have a hard time finding them listed in the ingredients list, look for their alias: sodium lauryl sulfate and sodium laureth sulfate. Sulfates are known to dry out the skin and cause rashes.
Not All Alcohols Are Good
No anti wrinkle cream should contain alcohol as this ingredient dehydrates the skin and can lead to wrinkles. Alcohol can also lead to irritation and rashes, but this isn't true for all types of alcohol. In fact stearyl and cetearyl alchol are both acceptable ingredients in any wrinkle treatment cream.
It just takes a little time and research to find the ingredients that you should avoid. It's not too much to ask when looking for the best wrinkle creams out there.
REJUVENATING CREAM is both a potent natural skin care product and an excellent wrinkles cream that is made with a perfect mix of two potent natural ingredients: snail serum and strawberry seed oil. The combination of natural ingredients makes REJUVENATING CREAM a gentle skin care cream that can be used on the most sensitive and dry skin without worrying about unwanted side effects.
