Make your Own Natural Skin Care Products
Natural skin treatments have quickly become a very popular part of the spa experience. Just about anything you can imagine is being used as an exotic face and body product. While these concoctions do work, their downside is their cost.
Nevertheless, you can attain their benefits without spending a fortune, by simply taking the time to make them at home. Just take a look around your kitchen and you'll see everything you need to help keep your skin smooth, moisturized and rejuvenated.
Let's take a quick look at some of the most popular skin treatments you can make at home: body scrubs and face masks.
Natural Body Scrubs
Using a body scrub can help relieve stress while removing impurities from your skin. You can even use ask someone else to apply the scrub for you.
Sea Salt Scrub (avoid using if you have dry or sensitive skin):
To make a sea salt scrub simply mix the following ingredients in a medium-sized mixing bowl: 1 cup of fine sea salt, one-half cup of grapeseed or almond oil, 10 drops of grapefruit essential oil and 10 drops of juniper essential oil. Spread the mixture over damp skin and massage it in concentrating on your heels and elbows. This scrub can also be used treat some scalp problems.
The sea salt scrub should only be used once or twice a month.
Bran and Almond Scrub:
Mix one-half cup of very finely ground almonds and one-half cup of coarse wheat bran. Add 1 cup of hot green tea and form a smooth paste. Allow the mixture to cool and add 10 drops of lavender essential oil.
You can use this scrub once a week.
Seed Scrub
You can make this scrub by using either one cup of finely ground flaxseed or sunflower seeds. Add half a cup of heavy cream or milk and stir thoroughly. This scrub is very gently and can be used on sensitive skin. It is particularly effective for the winter skin care because it helps restore moisture to the skin.
Make your own Facial Masks
You should treat your facial skin with care because it is more sensitive than other areas. This is why natural skin care is ideal for treating facial skin problems.
Yogurt Mask:
Yogurt facial masks are quite simple to make. All you need to do is mix together 1 teaspoon of natural yogurt with 1 tsp of runny honey. Apply the mixture to your face and let it set for 15 minutes, then rinse off with warm water.
Lemon Face Mask for oily skin:
Make a paste with the following ingredients: four tablespoons of clay, two teaspoons each of lemon pulp, honey, and water. Apply to your face and let it set for 15 minutes. Use a moist washcloth to remove the mask.
Spas have been advertising bio skin care for the past few years, but all they're really trying to sell you is an expensive all natural skin care treatment. If you're set on getting a natural treatment but don't want to fall in debt, you can do one of two things: make your own natural skin care products or purchase a cream that will save you the trouble of making your own mix, but still offer a safe and effective treatment, like BIOSKINCARE.
